The Invention

The design process started with the commitment to the highest quality materials. The finest available leather was technically unsuitable for the construction of rigid bags. This challenge required the invention of a new kind of leather. Together with an Italian leather house known since 1973 for its innovative thinking, we started the development of our own leather. For months, we conducted dozens of laboratory tests, studying every aspect of the leather in order to create the ideal material for this handbag. Buwood leather has been developed to be strong yet delicate. Our unique treatment allows the leather to have supreme suppleness and the ability to conform to a rigid frame — making it a perfect extension of the wooden core.
